About the team

Canva’s Lifecycle Marketing (LCM) team guides all users and customers through a customized journey across a variety of owned communication channels. By delivering messaging that is always targeted, actionable, and brand-forward, we’re able to drive the desired action, ensure that all user segments are extracting maximum value from our products, and cultivate trust. 

Additionally, many teams rely on us internally to deploy messaging campaigns to our users, be it product updates, user surveys, usage reports, or company news.

What you'll do:

  • You will formulate and champion the strategy to lead Canva’s Lifecycle marketing efforts globally. 
  • You will hire and develop extraordinary marketers, mobilizing them to execute on your vision while positioning them to achieve their ambitious professional development goals.
  • You will continually build on the foundation for user and team growth through the development of repeatable, scalable processes and frameworks.
  • You will partner with Growth, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Data to supercharge a multi-channel, multi-touch, cross-device lifecycle program.
  • You’ll delight users across any channel, platform, or medium that allows us to send targeted messages directly to our anonymous and registered users (both consumer and enterprise). Our core focus areas are email, push, in-product/in-app and you’ll explore new channels such as web push, desktop push, SMS in partnership with our Messaging Platform team. 
  • You will understand and implement tailored communication flows to our vast array of user segments (Free, Pro, Enterprise, Education etc.)

What we're looking for:

  • You have 10+ years experience as a marketing leader who has successfully delivered international results impacting both growth and retention through Lifecycle marketing. 
  • You have a track record of scaling and developing large, high-performing and happy marketing teams across multiple markets to achieve challenging targets and standards.
  • You have deep experience working with CRM and marketing automation technologies such as Braze, Marketo, Salesforce. 
  • You possess keen analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex, disparate datasets into insights that drive strategies and solutions.
  • You have excellent spoken and written communication skills, allowing you to successfully influence and communicate complex information clearly to your colleagues and through marketing material.
  • An energy giver with a positive outlook and the ability to influence your team leads, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions.
  • A natural team player, with a strong track record of cross-functional leadership and partnership.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy.
