Digital designers have the chance to collaborate and work between Brand and Product. Working at the top of the funnel you will be designing pages viewed by millions. An incredible opportunity to help develop our brand awareness and have a direct impact on our MAUs and revenue goals. Being the first touch point at the start of the user journey, you will be responsible for delivering landing pages that answers the user’s needs and drive adoption. Working in a cross functional team you will be responsible to bring design to life from start to finish. That may involve a wide range of tasks such as brainstorming, writing creative briefs or design documents, wireframes, visual designs, prototype, interaction, etc...

About the group and team

Mission: Help users find the right Canva

The Teams and Subscription Marketing team (TSM team) is part of the Marketing and Engagement group at Canva, with a mission to supercharge the funnel. More specifically the TSM team is focussing on our core subscription products - from the top of the funnel making sure users can find the Canva that suits their needs and have the best and most seamless experience while doing it. Our success is about monthly active subscribed users and revenue.

Goals in the first 3-6 months

  • Goal #1 => Optimise the funnel
  • As a designer on the TSM team, your main focus is to promote Canva’s plans (Pro, Enterprise, Education, NFP) as well as working with our performance marketing team to promote our SEM campaigns.
  • Historically, TSM’s major focus has been on the Pro plan, but a major focus is now moving towards teams and enterprise users. There is a lot in this space we can do to improve the user experience for new and existing users. You will be working in collaboration with the Pro team, Enterprise team, Education Team, Non for Profit team and the Performance marketing team, to shape the most optimise and seamless experience to drive high value users to the product and contribute to our Revenue company goal. Working in all areas of the funnel to provide an holistic and optimum experience. 
  • Goal #2 => Surface the value of Canva and what it does
  • We ship amazing features every week across the company. So much good stuff is going out , it is hard for users to keep up and know everything they can do with the product. In collaboration with all the Project marketing managers in the different teams in the company, you will help shape and surface all these features to our users in various ways.
  • Goal #3 => Go to market
  • We have some amazing creative teams in the group. On the design side, you will help build processes and strategies to create the most impactful go to market strategies and help Canva become the most loved Brand in the world - whilst also keeping in mind the whole user journey and ensuring they achieve their goals in the best possible way.

The role

  • Working across our various subscription products you will be responsible for the top part of the funnel. Designing landing pages to drive new and existing users to the product. Helping them find the Canva that suits their needs. 
  • You will be responsible for driving the design process from start to finish; from research, wireframing, design to launch and optimisation. 
  • Collaborating with CRO specialists you will regularly look at user flows, run A/B tests, optimise for conversion and use data to inform your design decisions. 
  • Delivering first class visual design you will collaborate with Brand and Product to create engaging and on brand landing pages that drive conversion.
  • Creating design solutions at scale considering internationalisation, content management system, design system, mobile design etc…
  • Reviewing final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, and typography are flawless and on brand.
  • Identifying opportunities for process, design system, style guide, user experience and documentation improvements.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates experience in product thinking where you have previously shipped UX/UI design for digital products.
