About the team

The People Team’s mission is to create the most effective and engaged company in the world. The People Operations and Shared Services teams are responsible for empowering employees through centralised employee support and solutions that are built for scale. Our mission is to create an employee experience where everyone can thrive and make an impact at Canva through; access to timely, accurate and human HR advice; the development and implementation of progressive, employee-centred policies; efficient easy-to-navigate processes and technology that support a world-class people team built on a strong operational foundation.

About the role

In this role you will support the evolution of Canva’s Global Workforce team. You will be involved in delivering travel, relocation services and advice. You will own the internal and external relationships including global mobility service providers. 

This is a new function for Canva, so you’ll need to be comfortable with setting up process flows that work for both the business, our existing and future Canvanauts! 

You will partner with Talent Acquisition, People Partnering, Finance and Legal along with other key group and speciality stakeholders across the business to create strategies, reporting and analytics across global mobility programs.

You will make recommendations to the business against requests for global mobility, travel, budgets and relocations, providing timely and accurate advice.

What You'll Do:

  • Build out our ‘self-service’ travel model to ensure that people are empowered to make sound travel & mobility decisions
  • Point of escalation for travel queries from Canva employees and Leads
  • Own the relationship with our external platform for travel bookings, TripActions
  • Adapting our Company Travel Policy to edge-cases and business needs
  • Respond to and action travellers feedback, communicate product feedback to our Trip Actions account managers
  • Source, negotiate and maintain partnerships with preferred providers (e.g. 57 Hotel, Urbanrest)
  • Oversee travel needs for our programs (e.g. Internship program)
  • Oversee the group travel needs, including travel for large events  (e.g. Canva conferences, business guests, acquisitions)
