Senior Product Designer - Partners & Integrations

Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane – Full-time

About the group and team

The Print & Partnerships group is building the best creation tool in the world for print products and unleashing the power of Canva via partnerships (Canva for Partners) with the world’s leading organizations - we’ve already launched some big collaborations with FedEx, HubSpot, Facebook, Instagram with many more in the pipeline.

Growing partnerships has become a key goal this year and our group is doubling down on doing a wide range of new product initiatives to drive the team’s growth, while developing strategic relationships with key global partners, to accelerate Canva’s vision to empower the world to truly design anything, and publish anywhere.

We are early on in our journey to make Canva ubiquitous through household Integrations, but we are already rapidly scaling in this space. There is a whole lot more to do to achieve our vision and so we are looking for a product designer to join us at this early stage and help propel us towards our vision.

About the candidate

We are looking for someone who can solve complex problems with a systematic approach in a fast-paced environment. Working within a cross-functional team you’ll be collaborating and communicating with stakeholders across Canva and Partners to deliver Partnership products that will have a large scale impact on Canva, our Partners, and our end-users.

Goals the candidate will achieve

  • Settle in, learn the Print & Partnerships landscape at Canva and help the team to execute a new product project from the current roadmap (first 3 months)
  • Work with the team to launch our next big Digital integration
  • Improve our Canva x Partner experience to boost creation and activation
  • Work with the team to define the future of Partnerships

Experience you'll need

  • 5 + years experience as a product designer building and shipping applications or software —prior Integrations or eCommerce experience are a huge plus.
  • Experience representing work to internal/external stakeholders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts
  • Experience showcasing your end-to-end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, high-fidelity prototypes, and consideration of the impact and scale of work
  • Experience connecting your work with other industry-leading related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration
  • A portfolio that demonstrates experience in product thinking where you have previously shipped UX/UI design for digital products.
  • You are a designer that is constantly inspired—motivating those around you through your passion and drive for what you do.
  • You are excited by regularly coming up with new ideas, shipping new products and features that address your users’ real needs.
  • You shine through your designs—creating user flows and wireframes that simplify user interactions
  • You are eager to visually communicate your ideas through prototypes to test with users.
  • You thrive in a collaborative workplace; partnering with other designers, engineers, product developers, and other disciplines throughout the company.
  • You appreciate big picture thinking. While details are everything, creating an experience that always keeps our users in mind is equally as important.
  • You are a problem solver that’s excited by a challenge. You enjoy sitting in a room and whiteboarding ideas to confidently come up with simple, elegant solutions that everyone can move forward with.
  • You are an empathetic user advocate that values the backing of research and data analysis when it comes to designing modern solutions.
  • You enjoy a little flexibility in your work. Our growth means there are constantly new things to work on every day, as such it’s likely that you’ll often be working across the board on new and exciting projects.
