Canva named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 List

We're excited to share that Canva has come in at #4 on the 2022 CNBC Disruptor 50. The annual list recognizes 50 private companies growing and innovating while inspiring change.


We're incredibly excited to debut at #4 on the CNBC Disruptor 50— the definitive list showcasing the top 50 private companies whose innovations are revolutionizing both their industries and our everyday lives.

Since the very beginning, we've been on a mission to empower the world to design by democratizing access to once complex and inaccessible tools. We’re focused on solving a real problem for millions of people around the world, and ensuring Canva is easy to use and accessible to everyone. Canva brings intuitive design features, real-time collaboration, and easy sharing options that support the entire visual communications workflow in one place.

With the world becoming an increasingly visual place, visual communication has never been more important. It’s why individual creators, small businesses, teams, students and teachers, and the Fortune 500 are embracing the power of Canva to create infographics, videos, presentations and even websites to cut through the noise and achieve their goals. Over the past decade, more than 11 billion designs (that’s 180 every second) have been created by our community, which has rapidly grown to more than 85 million monthly active users across more than 190 different countries.

We’re also continuing to evolve our products with new features to streamline communication and collaboration between teams. Canva Presentations continues to receive a lot of love from our community as we double down on features such as Talking Presentations and real-time collaboration tools, with over 7 million presentations being created every week. Canva Video Suite is bringing powerful new video editing tools to Canva, backed by the same simplicity we brought to once complex graphic design. We recently announced the launch of Canva Sites Beta, which allows people to easily create websites and purchase domain names with Canva, and we also introduced the end-to-end experience for Printed Designs, so our community can customize designer-made templates, print them sustainably, and have them delivered to their doorstep in a just a few clicks. We’re always looking at how our actions impact the climate and have committed to planting a tree for every print order ever placed with Canva.

Supporting the broader community is another incredibly important part of our mission to empower the world to design and to “be a force for good” — one of the core values that drives us at Canva. We recently celebrated the milestone of empowering more than 200,000 nonprofits through Canva's Nonprofit program, providing nonprofits with a platform to share and champion important messages and causes across the globe. That’s more than 700,000 people using Canva for Nonprofits who are able to visually communicate to create powerful change campaigns, with over 2.5 million presentations being created by this important community in the last year alone.
