10 gifts we unboxed at Canva Create

Since launching Canva nearly a decade ago, we’ve been working towards our wild dream of empowering everyone to design anything. Last year, we took a huge leap forward with the introduction of Canva’s Visual Suite at our inaugural Canva Create event in September – but we haven’t stopped there. Just moments ago, we returned to an even bigger stage for our second Canva Create event where we unveiled a whole range of exciting announcements for our community around the world.

A few days ago, we dropped some very special wrapped gifts onto the homepages of more than 125 million people across the globe. It’s been so much fun seeing everyone guess what might be inside the boxes, but today the wait is over.

We launched Canva’s Visual Suite at our first Canva Create in September, and today, we unboxed a whole range of features that add an extra special layer of magic with a focus on speed and creative inspiration. 🎁 Gift #1 - Magic Design is here

Struggling to visualize your ideal design, or find the perfect template? With Magic Design, powered by OpenAI, you'll now be able to simply upload an image, select a style, and watch it come to life across a curated selection of your very own personalized and fully customizable templates to either download or edit further.

Magic Design automatically chooses the perfect accompanying fonts, images, graphics and styles to turn your imagination into the perfect design, from billboards to birthday cards, every time.

Collaborate seamlessly with projects, templates and controls

We’re also introducing Brand Folders where you can set up unique branding, templates and controls within specific projects, so collaboration becomes simple.

Creatives can now set Brand Controls within project folders to manage what your team can see and access in terms of fonts, colors, templates, and assets. You can also add approval workflows so your creative team can review and provide feedback on designs.

One of the most efficient ways to empower teams to stay on-brand is with the use of templates, and on that note, we’re excited to introduce the ability for you to create your very own Brand Templates. You can even add your go-to templates to your homepage for everyone to access easily.
