Bringing real-world lessons to the classroom

How many times have you said to yourself, “I wish they’d taught us that in school”? We’re excited to be providing our global education community with teachable lessons that build skills for the future and prepare students for real-life experiences.

Through Canva for Education(opens in a new tab or window), we’re providing classrooms with an all-in-one platform to streamline the teaching process and make learning engaging for students. We’re passionate about a future where education goes beyond academics, and empowers students with the skills to thrive in a dynamic, ever-evolving world. These essential skills not only play a pivotal role in personal development, but also set individuals up to tackle life's diverse challenges with confidence.

In October, we launched the biggest changes to our education platform(opens in a new tab or window) yet, including the capability to create and deliver lessons directly within Canva. While we launched this with a range of curriculum-aligned content, it was just as important to us to provide our growing community with courses that build practical skills and prepare students for real-life experiences.

We've collaborated with industry experts like NASA and are featuring articles from reputable sources like The New York Times to craft a series of Future Skills lessons that perfectly complement the core curriculum. These courses feature activities and worksheets for hands-on engagement to ensure students actively reinforce their learnings.

From mastering your finances to discovering your life’s passion, these are some of the lessons you wish you had learned in school.
