Canva & The Kelly Clarkson Show help bring joy to inspiring little girl and her amazing business
Born with spina bifida, Lola Marie has spent her entire life in a wheelchair and experienced extreme bullying at her school. To help keep her spirits high, she turned to getting her nails done with pretty colors – however, when COVID-19 forced the closure of all nail salons, she decided to do something about it. She started her own nail polish business, Lola Marie Polish.
Lola Marie created her business to help save money for a wheelchair-accessible van. She also gives back to her community by sending nail polish to children in hospital.
The Power of Good
Canva were so impressed with Lola Marie, her strength, resilience and the heart she put into her business that we gifted her a free Canva Pro account along with a design mentorship to help Lola Marie Polish keep growing.
Seeing the amazing power of Lola Marie’s work in helping other sick kids and in an effort to help her reach her goals faster, the Canva team donated $50,000 to Lola Marie so she can purchase a wheelchair-accessible van.

Huge thanks to The Kelly Clarkson Show for helping us share Lola Marie’s story with the world!
