Canva Video named to Fast Company's Next Big Things in Tech list
We’re proud to announce Canva Video has been recognized on Fast Company’s Next Big Things in Tech list, which highlights some of the world’s most intriguing innovations.
Creating engaging visual content has become essential for effective online communication, and we truly believe sophisticated video editing tools should be accessible to everyone across the globe, powered by the same simplicity we brought to once-complex graphic design.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that Canva Video has been recognized on Fast Company’s 2022 Next Big Things in Tech list! This list highlights some of the world’s most intriguing innovations and the impact they're not only having on their respective industries right now but will continue to have well into the future.
We’re honored to receive this recognition, which is a testament to the way the Canva Video suite is bringing powerful, simple-to-use video editing tools to our community. By equipping the world with video editing capabilities for free on any device, Canva is enabling millions of people to share their message — and our community has been creating everything from TikTok ads and marketing campaigns, to corporate training and how-to videos. Canva Video is also the only video editing tool that supports live collaboration in real-time, helping more individuals, teams, nonprofits, and schools around the world streamline their processes.
We recently launched Canva’s Visual Worksuite, where we revealed some exciting new features to Canva Video. From one-click VideoBackground Remover to advanced new animation controls, the video creation and editing process is now simpler (and way more enjoyable) than ever.
Canva Video has seen explosive growth since launching last year. To date, over 1 billion videos have now been created and shared on Canva, and this is just the beginning!
We love seeing the incredible ways Canva Video is empowering our community. Lisa Blair, a sailor and climate activist who spent more than 90 days at sea inspiring positive environmental action, was able to share her record-breaking journey with the world by using Canva Video to communicate updates on her research and voyage status. While at sea, Lisa needed a way to quickly and easily design social media posts, video messages, and blog graphics. Lisa recorded and edited a number of videos on the go with Canva’s drag-and-drop video editor, creating beautiful and engaging data visualizations so the world could follow along with her progress in real time.
We couldn’t be more proud of our talented global community for being part of our journey to empower the whole world to design. Thank you to Fast Company for this recognition, and to our community for continuing to embrace the power of visual communication.
We have so much more innovating to do, both within the Canva Video suite and across our entire platform, and we can’t wait to show you what else we’ve been working on.
