Design Your Future at Canva Create

With a well and truly unique year coming to a close, many are starting to set their sights on the year ahead and what they’d like to achieve. Maybe you want to pitch a winning idea and secure your first round of investment? Or you’re a small business owner looking to build your brand? Or a teacher wanting to create an engaging learning space? Good news – all of this is possible.

We’re excited to announce Canva Create, a virtual event over two days, three streams, and featuring an incredible line-up of leading speakers packed with sessions designed to unlock your creativity and achieve your goals.

As our world becomes more visual than ever before, graphic design and visual communication have become fundamental skills for just about everyone. From November 16 – 17, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from a range of speakers, including Canva’s co-founders, Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht, and Cameron Adams on everything from the art of the pitch to building brands that millions of people love, to creating powerful campaigns that inspire action. We’ll also reflect on some of the lessons we’ve learned building and scaling Canva over the last few years, and how you can apply these to your next big idea.

Canva Create will equip you with the skills to bring your ideas to life, with creative workshops, live Q&As, and engaging panel discussions designed to unlock your creativity and achieve your goals. In the spirit of visual communication and engaging experiences, we’ll be providing every attendee with an interactive Canva Workbook to use throughout the event.

Our Jam-Packed Agenda

Don’t Miss These Sessions

To help you navigate the jam-packed schedule, we’ve picked out some of the sessions we’re most looking forward to:

Lessons Learned Building Canva: What does it take to scale a company from a living room concept to a global $40 billion company, and what can aspiring entrepreneurs learn from Canva’s journey? In this session, Canva’s co-founders, Melanie, Cliff and Cameron, will take you on Canva’s journey from a team of 3 to now more than 2,000 – sharing some of the most important and impactful lessons we’ve learned along the way, plus taking your questions in a live audience Q&A.

Using Canva Pro for Designers: From Salesforce to Zoom and OMD, thousands of large organisations and design agencies embrace Canva to unlock their creativity and achieve their goals. In this session, Canva’s Lead Brand Designer and Executive Creative Director, Cat van der Werff, will share actionable tips for large teams and professional designers looking to simplify their design workflow, automating basic design jobs so you can spend more time on the creative process.

Creating powerful change campaigns to inspire action: Canva’s Head of Social Impact, Robyn King, will highlight examples of campaigns that have moved the needle, breaking down the key ingredients to success before teaching you how to create your own campaigns for change. Covering off branding, print collateral and content-elevating video, by the end of this session you’ll be inspired and confident in your ability to make change happen.

How to design an inspiring learning environment and vibrant classroom culture: Your classroom is an ever-changing environment that aims to foster a love of learning and student belonging. Hosted by Canva Design Researcher, Annabel Blake, you’ll learn how to use visual design beyond classroom decorations, to design and nurture your classroom community and support learning outcomes. Inspired by Reggio Emilia’s philosophy, this session will help you create an inclusive classroom culture and inspire learning through visual design.
