Discover infinite possibilities with Canva’s new infinite Whiteboards
With real-time collaboration features, bespoke templates and our extensive content library, you have all the magic you need to start mapping out your next big idea.
We believe ideas shouldn’t be limited by a fixed canvas, which is why today, we’re excited to unveil Canva Whiteboards as the next step in our vision to empower everyone to design anything.
The shift to remote and hybrid work saw millions of people around the world using Canva for brainstorming and presentations, but we knew they needed a bigger space. From workshopping projects to project planning and brainstorming, our newly introduced Whiteboards make it fun and easy to collaborate with your team and bring your ideas to life on an infinite canvas. And the best part is, it’s available within the Canva editor you know and love.
Workshops just got better
Kick off your workshop with a Canva Presentation and expand your page to a Whiteboard with the click of a button, creating an infinite space for brainstorming with your team. Easily navigate the new infinite space with zoom, pan, and scroll features. Quickly add and react to ideas with the new Whiteboards panel which includes stickies, voting graphics, shapes and lines as well as access to Canva’s library of 100 million images, videos, audio tracks and more. There’s no need to search elsewhere for content — all the magic you need for your brainstorm is within Canva.
With our new timer feature, it’s easier than ever to manage workshops. If you’re working with a team, the timer automatically syncs, keeping everyone on track. Enjoy special alerts that let you know when you’ve started, have 10 seconds left, and when the time’s up.
Ideas just got bigger
Expand any of your favorite presentation templates to a Whiteboard, or select from bespoke Whiteboard templates to start inspired in an infinite and flexible space. Choose templates for flow charts, mind maps, wireframes, kanban boards, seating charts, org designs, flow charts and a whole lot more. Canva Whiteboards are perfect for mapping out your next big idea.
Planning a work project? Capture your ideas and strategies in a single space. Getting ready to tie the knot? Bring your agenda, inspirations, and seating charts into one place. Coordinating a party? Plan your theme, decorations, and invites in one spot.
Diagrams just got easier
We’re excited to also be launching a bunch of new features to make charting and diagramming even easier. Now you can use sticky notes, more advanced shapes, and connecting lines to illustrate complex flows. Canva’s quick-flow automation empowers you to add new shapes and elements that are pre-connected with just one click.
Whether you’re wireframing designs for a new product, creating an organization chart, building a classroom seating plan, or mapping out a new process, Whiteboards has you covered.
Collaboration just got faster
Last but not least, Canva’s real-time collaboration makes it easier than ever to instantly capture ideas and brainstorm with your team. Colorful cursors let you know exactly where your collaborators are and what they’re adding to the whiteboard, so you can watch the magic and be inspired by what your team is creating, then easily respond to ideas or ask questions with comments. We know it can often be difficult to convey tone across text, particularly in brief comments, so we’ve made sure you can also show your appreciation by using emoji reactions or replying with stickers.
Whiteboards can easily be shared with your team as a link or downloaded to capture the highlights following a brainstorm. Simply select the elements you want to send, right-click, and download the selection.
Great things happen when people come together to bring their ideas to life. There’s truly no limit to what you can do with Canva Whiteboards, which is free for our global community and available on the web, desktop and mobile.
To get started with a Whiteboard of your own, simply create a new presentation, right-click on a slide, and click ‘expand to whiteboard’. You can also search for a range of Whiteboarding templates via the Canva homepage. Start mapping out your next idea today!
