10 new Canva features to level up your designs

From enhanced translations and image editing magic to new data visualizations and updated presentation tools, get ready to level up your designs with our latest features.

2023 has been a record year of product launches and updates for Canva – from unveiling Magic Studio(opens in a new tab or window) to supercharging Canva for Education(opens in a new tab or window) and launching highly anticipated design tools(opens in a new tab or window) at Canva Create(opens in a new tab or window). We’ve also added hundreds of smaller features(opens in a new tab or window) and product updates(opens in a new tab or window) throughout the year to help our community maximize their impact with Canva, and we’re always listening to ways we can improve your design workflows. Here are 10 of our latest launches to take your creations to the next level.

Say hello to new markets

Connecting with people worldwide is important for any business, and Canva’s AI Online Translator tool(opens in a new tab or window) makes it easy to reach out to teams, customers, and audiences across the globe without getting lost in translation. Now available in Docs(opens in a new tab or window), you can effortlessly translate your designs in seconds into over 100 languages.

Simply needing to translate one section rather than a whole page? Easily select specific elements to effortlessly translate presentations, docs, social media posts, and more.

Take images to new heights

When it comes to design, using eye-catching photos can make all the difference – but it’s tricky when the colors aren’t striking the right tone. Make your photos pop with Color Edit(opens in a new tab or window), where you can easily adjust the hue, saturation, and brightness of certain colors within your photo without affecting the entire image. From adjusting the sky to have sunset hues to dialing up the brightness of a flower or product, selectively editing colors is a breeze with Color Edit.

Impress your audience and supercharge engagement

In the era of visual communication(opens in a new tab or window), delivering messages in impactful ways is key to audience engagement. Data storytelling(opens in a new tab or window) is an easy way to distill complex data into interactive visualizations, charts and graphs, and we’re excited to have recently added interactive charts(opens in a new tab or window) to Canva. Instantly transform your data into beautiful, interactive charts in just a few clicks.

When it comes to presenting, adding notes is key for staying on script – but they can sometimes be tricky to read on small screens. Now, you can present more smoothly with our updated Presenter View(opens in a new tab or window) and easily adjust your font size with a single click. Changing notes on the go? Our new edit mode lets you easily update your notes as you practice or even when presenting live.

Presenting with a team? Our latest remote control feature makes presenting seamless, regardless of whether you’re presenting in the same room or remotely. Simply share and can a QR code to get started.

Measuring engagement can sometimes be tough – but thanks to our Design Insights(opens in a new tab or window), you’re able to gauge whether your design hit the right note with your readers. See how your audience has interacted with insights on document views, including traffic from different channels, collaborations, and social media engagement to better understand what brings delight.

Streamline your workflow

We’re always looking for ways to save you time – so we’re thrilled to unveil some handy new features to streamline your workflow. We know that when setting up various folders, dragging and dropping the relevant files is much easier with bulk selection – and now in Canva you can drag-to-select! Desktop users can now simply select all relevant items and drag them into folders for a more organized workflow.

Why is it that it’s always when you’re looking for a specific design, it can take forever to find it? Our newly organized side navigation bar automatically sort designs by recent usage and list folders alphabetically, helping you find what’s most relevant to you at a glance.

In case you missed it, Magic Resize has had an upgrade(opens in a new tab or window). Introducing Resize & Magic Switch(opens in a new tab or window) – a game-changing AI tool that transforms any design into something entirely new. Whether you’re looking to transform whiteboard notes(opens in a new tab or window) into an summary or a large presentation into an executive summary document(opens in a new tab or window), Resize & Magic Switch speeds up your workflow in seconds.

It’s time to try our latest features for yourself! Bring your designs to life today(opens in a new tab or window).
