I see limited colour options in the editor

Brand controls help everyone in your team create designs that are aligned with Brand Kit. These settings are only available to your team’s administrators and brand designers.

If you’d like to verify if brand controls are enabled for your team, here’s how.

Brand controls for the whole team

Right now, you can only tell that brand controls are on if any of these are true:

  • You don’t see the default colour options.
  • You don’t see default fonts or text combinations.

Brand controls for designs within a folder

These apply to designs created within specific folders. These settings override your team-level brand controls.

  1. From the homepage side panel, click
    Projects.
  2. Look for the folder where you’re designing from, or where your design is saved.
  3. Select it, and go to the Brand Kit tab. The Colour and Font sections will indicate if they’re on.

If they’re on, it means that designs created from that folder will be restricted to only using the Brand Kit colours and fonts.

If you really need to use colours and fonts outside of brand controls, reach out to your team administrators, brand designers, or teachers, and check if they can disable brand controls for you.
