Link your Canva account with your SSO provider

When your team admin enables Single Sign-On (SSO) for your team, we will ask you to link your Canva account with your SSO provider the next time you log in. This makes it easier for you to log in and helps keep your account secure. You’ll only need to do this once.

1. On the login page, enter your email, then select Continue.

2. You may be automatically redirected to your SSO provider. If not, enter your email and select Log in with SSO, then sign in using your company’s SSO credentials.

3. After successful SSO authentication, you’ll be redirected back to the Canva login page. Select Continue with email, then log in using the same method you used before SSO was enabled (for example, your password, a login code, or another sign-in option).

Note: Steps 1 and 2 can be done in reverse order, but they will both lead to Step 3.

4. If this is a work account and you want to be managed by your work team, select Continue. 5. If you used your work email to create a personal account and you don’t want it to be managed by your team, choose Switch to a personal one, then update your email to a personal one.

The next sections are for team owners or administrators handling their team’s SSO setup.

What happens when an account isn’t linked?

When someone from your team doesn’t link their account, their details will not be updated through SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management).

This means you won’t be able to update emails, names, group memberships, etc. They will also not be a part of your team until they link their account.

What happens when an account is de-provisioned?

When an account is de-provisioned, this will remove the SSO linking request.
