Add your signature to a design

You can add a personal signature to any Canva design. Create your signature by drawing, typing, or uploading an image. Save it to reuse across your designs.

You can create a signature using any of these methods:

• Draw: Use your mouse, trackpad, or other pointing device to draw a freehand signature.
• Type: Enter your name. Choose a handwritten-style font.
• Upload: Upload an existing image of your signature.

Add your signature from the editor toolbar in fixed-layout designs, or from Quick Actions in Canva Docs and email designs. Quick Actions is the shortcut menu that appears when you select the plus icon or type /

1. Open your design.
2. From the panel on the left side of the editor, select the Tools tab.
3. In the tools tab, you will see a Signature feature.
4. Select the Signature feature.
5. Create a new signature by choosing Draw, Type or Upload, or select a saved one.
6. Select Add signature.

You can also add a signature by to presentations, print designs and resumes via the Elements tab:

1. Open your design
2. From the panel on the left side of the editor, select the
   tab.
3. In the search bar, type Signature.
4. Select Create.
5. Create a new signature by choosing Draw, Type, or Upload, or select a saved one.
6. Select Add signature.

Your signature appears on the design. You can move, resize, or edit it like any other design element.

1. Open your design.
2. Do one of the following: Select the ＋ button on the design, search for Signature, then select it from Quick Actions. Type / on the design, search for Signature, then select it from Quick Actions.
3. Create a new signature by choosing Draw, Type, or Upload, or select a saved one.
4. Select Add signature.

Laws vary by region. Make sure your signature meets any legal requirements that apply to your region before using it for important documents. Consult a legal professional if you're unsure.

You can add your own signature to designs right now. Sending documents for others to sign isn't available yet but is planned for a future update.
