Generate custom shapes with AI

AI Shapes lets you create custom shapes by simply describing what you need in plain text. Instead of searching through shape libraries or drawing from scratch, you can generate unique vector shapes instantly—from "cartoon owl with big eyes" to complex geometric patterns.

All generated shapes work with Canva's existing editing tools, so you can customize colors, borders, and more to perfectly match your design.

For better results:

• Be specific in your descriptions: "Minimalist mountain range with three peaks" is better than just "Mountains"
• Include style preferences: Add words like "simple," "detailed," "geometric," or "cartoon-style"
• Use clear, simple language: The AI responds best to straightforward descriptions
• Try variations if needed: If the first result isn't perfect, rephrase your prompt or generate again

You can generate any shape you can describe in words – from simple geometric forms to complex illustrations, animals, objects, decorative elements, and custom logos. The more specific and clear your description, the better the results.

Currently, customizing AI-generated shapes is not supported.
