Learn how app permissions work in Canva
App permissions enable apps to do what they’re supposed to. For example, for an app to edit or optimise images, it has to be allowed to read images.
What to expect when connecting to apps in Canva
When you connect to an app, you give permission for it to access data in your design. In Canva, accepting permissions means allowing the app to do one or more of the following:
- Read any design you open
- Change any design you open
- Read and change any design you open
- Upload media on your behalf
- Access media you select
- Access media you select and upload media on your behalf
- Communicate with other websites
