App Restrictions for Students
App restrictions are automatically placed for students to ensure their safety. Team owners and administrators can turn on their app permissions if they feel safe for their students. They can also select different apps that their students can access or not.
What to expect when your students try to access restricted apps
When students connect to an app, they’ll see a banner message asking them to contact their admins if they wish to use it.
The App restriction setting is set to Administrators only by default. Follow the steps below to update the settings.
Turn on app restrictions for students
- From the homepage, go to Settings.
- Go to Permissions, and then Apps and integrations.
- Under Apps, click the switch to turn on Manage apps for your team.
- Go to Manage apps to select the apps students can use.
- Select Save to finish.
If the option to change permissions is unavailable, please get in touch with your school's admin and inform them to enable the apps so your students can regain access to the app.
