Create a personal Brand Kit
Store your Brand colour, Fonts, Logos, and Images in one place. Your personal Brand Kit is private and separate from your team’s Brand Kits.
Use a personal Brand Kit to keep your own styles organised and quickly apply them to your designs.
Personal Brand Kits are available on Canva Teams, Canva Business, Canva Enterprise, and select Canva Education plans. Your admin must enable this feature before you can create one.
Set up personal Brand Kits
Admins must enable this feature before team members can create a personal Brand Kit.
Enable personal Brand Kits (admins)
- Go to Home, then select your profile icon.
- Select Settings, then Permissions.
- Go to Brand.
- Under “Who can create personal Brand Kits?”, choose Everyone, Select roles and groups, or No one.
Use Select roles and groups to limit access to specific roles.
Create your personal Brand Kit
Once enabled, create your personal Brand Kit from Brand.
- Go to Home, then select Brand.
- Select the Brand Kit dropdown.
- Select Create personal Brand Kit.
- Enter a name.
- Select Create.
You can create one personal Brand Kit.
Add and update brand assets
Add brand assets to your personal Brand Kit at any time.
- Go to Home, then select Brand.
- Select your Brand Kit.
- Select a category, such as Logos, Colours, Fonts, or Brand voice.
- Upload or drag and drop assets.
Customise your Brand Kit banner and thumbnail
Customise how your Brand Kit appears in Brand.
- Go to your Personal Brand Kit, then hover over a thumbnail and select More.
- Select Edit details.
- Update your Brand Kit name and upload an icon.
- Choose your banner colours, then select Save changes.
Add a new asset category
Create custom categories to organise your assets.
- Go to your personal Brand Kit.
- Select (add icon) next to your assets.
- Select Asset category.
- Enter a name for your category.
- Upload or drag and drop assets.
Apply your Brand Kit with AI
Your admin must enable AI before you can use this feature.
- Go to Home, then select the search bar.
- Select (add icon).
- Then select Apply Brand Kit.
- Choose a Brand Template, or search or scroll to find one.
- The Brand Template icon will appear in the search bar.
- Enter a prompt, then select Submit.
You can share your Brand Kit with others so they can use your brand assets.
Note: Sharing isn’t available if you have a student role.
- Go to your personal Brand Kit, then select (more icon).
- Select Share, then enter a name or group and confirm.
They’ll be notified and can access your personal Brand Kit from the Brand Kit dropdown.
People you share with can use your Brand Kit assets, but they can’t edit them. Only you can make changes to your personal Brand Kit.
Review personal Brand Kit limitations
- You can create one personal Brand Kit.
- Only you can edit your personal Brand Kit. People you share it with can view and use your assets.
- Personal Brand Kits don’t count toward your team’s Brand Kit limit.
- You can’t add personal Brand Kits to folders or link folders to categories.
- Personal Brand Kits don’t include a guidelines document. Use category guidelines and dos and don’ts instead.
- For personal Brand Kits, the Brand Kit builder is only available when using the URL option.
Fix common personal Brand Kit issues
Can’t see the option to create a personal Brand Kit?
It may be turned off for your account. Check that your admin has enabled the feature.
- Admins can go to Settings, then select Permissions, then Brand. Look for Who can create personal Brand Kits?.
- If the setting is on and you still don’t see the option, you may already have a personal Brand Kit. Each user can only create one.
Recover a missing personal Brand Kit
If you left and rejoined your team, your personal Brand Kit was deleted when you left. You can create a new one if your admin has enabled the setting.
If your subscription has ended, you can still see your kit. You can't update or use it until you restart your subscription.

Who can create or edit a personal Brand Kit?
Admins decide who can create personal Brand Kits. Go to Settings, then select Permissions, then Brand. This setting is off by default. Once created, a personal Brand Kit is private to its creator. Only they can see or edit it.
Yes. You can share it with people or groups. If group creation is enabled, you can create a new group when sharing.
Do personal Brand Kits have the same features as other Brand Kits?
Personal Brand Kits support many of the same features, with a few differences:
- Each person can create one personal Brand Kit per user.
- Personal Brand Kits don’t include a guidelines document. Use category guidelines and dos and don’ts instead.
- You can’t create personal Brand Kits in folders or add them to folders, and categories don’t support linking to folders.
No. It’s shared for view and use access only. This applies even if it’s shared with an admin or brand designer.
Who can see a personal Brand Kit?
Personal Brand Kits are private to the person who creates them. Admins and brand designers can’t view or edit them. For Enterprise customers, activity is included in audit logs so admins can maintain team oversight.
What happens if the creator of a personal Brand Kit leaves or is removed?
The personal Brand Kit will no longer be available, including for the people it was shared with.
