Record your screen
The Screen Recorder in Canva lets you record your entire screen, so you can share tutorials, product demos, and walkthroughs—all without leaving the Canva desktop app.
To use Screen Recorder, make sure you have:
- The Canva desktop app (for Mac or Windows)
- Screen recording permissions enabled on your computer
- A working microphone and stable internet connection
Screen Recorder is only available on the Canva desktop app. It isn’t supported on the web browser or mobile devices.
Access Screen Recorder
You can open Screen Recorder in a few different ways.
Screen record from the Canva desktop app home screen
Screen record from the system tray (Mac or Windows)
Screen record from the Uploads tab in the editor
During your recording, you’ll see a countdown before the recording starts. While recording, you’ll see a panel where you can select Pause or Delete anytime.
When you’re done, select Finish.
Limitations
- The maximum duration per recording is 25 minutes.
- The maximum file size is 1GB.
Use the recording in a design
After you finish recording, it'll be saved and uploaded automatically as a Canva video. You can Download it as an MP4 or share it directly using the Share button.
You can also embed your recording in other Canva designs.
