  3. When the timer is activated, a new timer button will appear in the bottom bar next to the navigation arrows.

Presenter view

  1. The timer can be accessed from either the presenter or audience window. Press any number on your keyboard from 1-9 to open the timer. Pressing another number will reset the timer to that number.
  2. The timer can also be accessed by selecting the
    Timer icon.

  • To start the timer, click on the
    Play icon.
  • To reset the timer, click on the
    Reset icon.

  • To play music while using the timer, hover your cursor over the timer for the options to pop up. Click the
Music icon to select music. Choose between Focus, Dramatic, Upbeat, Energetic, or Lofi.

The timer will have special Canva sounds at the start, 10-second mark, and the end. You can adjust the volume of the sound and music by clicking the

Volume icon and adjusting the slider.

Everyone on the design you’re working on will see the timer.

If you want to minimise the timer, click on the

Timer icon on the bottom corner of the screen or the
Minimise icon on the timer. If the timer is active while minimised, it’ll appear in the bottom next to
Duration in the editor or the navigation arrows when presenting full screen. Meanwhile, it’ll appear on the presenter window when using Presenter view. When the timer is paused, it’ll have a flashing effect.
