Design with Brand Kits and Brand Templates
Brand Kits and Brand Templates help you design consistently with your team’s visual identity. You can access your Brand Kit to apply approved logos, colours, and fonts, and switch between kits if your team uses more than one.
If you're a brand designer or admin, you can set up Brand Kits and publish Brand Templates to help your team stay on-brand. You can also learn how to manage your brand assets in Canva.
Are you looking for other colors or fonts? To keep your designs on brand, Brand Controls may have been switched on for this design, so you can only use colors or fonts from the Brand Kit. Reach out to your team owner or admin to allow using other colors or fonts.
Use or switch Brand Kits from the editor
From the side panel
- Select Brand from the editor side panel.
- Select your preferred Brand Kit from the dropdown.
From the Text tab
- Select Text from the editor side panel. If you don’t see them, select Apps first.
- Select the current Brand Kit’s name.
- Choose the Brand Kit you’d like to use or switch to. The brand assets available in the Brand Kit will show.
From the colour panel
- Click on an element. One or more colour tiles will appear on the toolbar above the editor.
- Click on a colour tile. The colour panel will load on the side.
- Click on the current Brand Kit’s name.
- Choose the Brand Kit you’d like to use or switch to. The brand assets available in the Brand Kit will show.
From the font panel
- Click on a text box.
- Click on the fontdropdown. The font panel will load on the side.
- Click on the current Brand Kit’s name.
- Choose the Brand Kit you’d like to use or switch to. The brand assets available in the Brand Kit will show.
If the elements in the templates can’t be moved around, locks may have been applied to keep your designs on brand. Reach out to your team owner or admin to adjust locks on Brand Templates.
Use Brand Templates to start with pre-designed layouts that follow your brand setup. Just add your content and you’re ready to go.
Use Brand Templates from the homepage Brand tab
- From the homepage side panel, go to the Brand tab.
- Select All Brand Templates.
- Select the Brand Template that you want to use.
- Select Use this Brand Template.
Use Brand Templates from the editor Brand tab
- From the editor side panel, go to the Brand tab.
- Under the All Brand Templates section, click See all to view all the Brand Templates available.
- Select the Brand Template that you want to use.
- Choose between Apply all pages or Brand Template Style to finish.
