Built across Canva’s Visual Suite, it moves beyond one-off prompts and static generations, instead giving you a built-in creative partner that works alongside you in the editor from first idea to final design.

What is Canva AI?

Canva AI helps you create and edit designs, images and videos, and brainstorm ideas with ease.

You can also use it to:

  • Create designs like presentations and social posts
  • Generate images, text, and code
  • Edit and refine content

What’s the difference between Canva AI 1.0 and Canva AI 2.0?

Canva AI is being updated with a more advanced experience. Here’s the core difference:

  • Canva 1.0 - focused on generating results from a single prompt
  • Canva AI 2.0 - lets you create and edit in Canva by chatting with AI in the editor. It’s a conductor making design element changes, refining your whole design, and keeping your designs on brand

This means you can now:

  • Refine designs and content for you
  • Make updates without starting over through a Memory Library
  • Use Web Research for richer, up-to-date results

  2. Enter a prompt.
  3. To use voice input, select the
