Access and manage notifications

Receive notifications and keep updated with design activity across your team.

We're rolling out navigation changes gradually, so some steps in this Help article may not accurately reflect what you see in the app. If you can't find Canva AI, your profile photo, or your Print cart on the homepage, go to

More.

Find your notifications

Selecting a notification will take you to the folder or design that it's for. To mark a notification as "read," hover your cursor on it and click the check icon on desktop, or long tap and select Mark as read on mobile

Select Mark all as read to dismiss all notifications.

From the homepage, select

Notifications.

Grant design access through the homepage notifications

If a collaborator requests access to a design, the design owner will be notified through notifications on the homepage.

  1. Select the
    bell icon.
  2. Look for the design access request.
  3. Use the dropdown to choose the type of permissions you want to give: can edit, comment, or view.
  4. Select Share.

There’ll be a confirmation message that the design has been shared.

You’ll receive notifications for the following:

  • Shared designs
  • Design access requests
  • Comments or tasks
  • Shared folders
  • Team access requests
  • Team invite requests
  • Design approval responses or requests
  • Brand Kit or templates being created and published
  • Your team admin and owner activities such as moving items to a folder, or deleting and moving folders.

Managing your notifications

Currently, disabling in-app notifications is not yet supported.

You can choose to receive email notifications for when someone new joins your team, or when someone requests for you to review their design. Go to Managing email subscriptions and mobile notifications for more details on how it works.
