The Domain report gives administrators a clear view of Canva usage across their organisation, from user activity and design trends to AI feature adoption and account locations.
Additionally, it lets you spot unmanaged teams and users using their work email to access Canva outside your company account, and then consolidate them.
Note: Domain reports are not yet available to Canva for Campus teams.
Who can view the Domain report?
- Verified domain report
- If the domain is verified at the organisation level, Org Admins can view the report across all teams in the organisation.
- If the domain is verified at the team level, team owners and admins can only view the report for the teams they manage.
- Unverified domain report
- Team owners and admins can usually only view reports for their own eligible email domain, unless that domain has already been verified elsewhere.
Access the domain report
The Domain report and unmanaged members list give you visibility over how staff members who aren’t part of your Company account use Canva.
Here’s how to access the Domain Report to view Canva usage across your domain:
- From the Canva homepage, go to Settings.
- From the side menu, select Domain report. From here, you’ll see the Canva usage summary, which includes the number of Canva users on the domain, the number of teams, and the designs created.
- If some data isn’t available in your domain report, you may need to verify your domain. From Settings, select SSO & provisioning.
- Verify your domain by adding it to the Domain verification tab. Follow step 2 of this page to verify your domain. Note: After your domain is verified, people using Canva on that domain will receive an email notification. This email gives them 30 days to confirm that their account is being used for work purposes. If they don’t take action, the account automatically becomes affiliated with your organisation. Learn more about why Canva notifies users when you verify a domain
- After domain verification, navigate back to Domain report.
View unmanaged accounts
Find users and teams on your domain, and uncover valuable insights about their activity.
- Select See unmanaged accounts to review unmanaged users on your domain.
- Choose Users or Teams.
- Go to Users to get insights on:
- User location
- Role
- Teams
- Activity in the last 12 months
- Go to Teams to get insights on:
- Number of users
- Designs created and published
- Brand kits created
- Team owner Select the Team name to find out who the members are. Note: Team members using Canva on a domain different from your verified domain will be hidden.

How to consolidate unmanaged users
If you want to consolidate users, contact your Canva Account Executive if you have one, or get in touch with the Sales team.
View domain usage activity
After the domain is verified, the domain report gives you access to:
- After the domain is verified, navigate to the Domain report.
- View domain usage activity and explore insights on the following:
- Designs published over time - The number of designs published on your domain each month. This will help you identify usage spikes across your organisation.
- AI usage activity - The total number of times Canva’s generative AI features - Magic Write and Magic Media, have been used by people on the domain in the last 12 months. If you’d like to control AI usage for unmanaged users, click on Manage AI permissions to apply permissions for your team
- Note: You may not see AI usage activity if there's not enough usage on your domain.
- Account locations - A breakdown of user locations across six global regions - North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, Oceania. You won't see account locations if all users on your domain belong to a single region.
- Preferred design types - The design formats your team uses most, such as Instagram posts, presentations, and ads.
