Hyperlinks are not working on text effects

There’s currently an issue where hyperlinks aren’t working for text with effects on downloaded PDFs. This issue currently affects the following effects:

  • Lift
  • Neon

Our engineers are working to fix this. As a workaround, you can do the following steps depending on the text effect you’ve applied, then download your design as a PDF.

What can cause this

You applied the Lift or Neon effect on a text with a hyperlink. We're working on fixing a bug with these effects when used on text with hyperlinks.

What to do

If you used the "Lift" effect

  1. Add text and apply the hyperlink.
  2. Select Effects from the editor toolbar and select Lift.
  3. Still, on the Effects options, select the Curve effect.
  4. Set the curve value to 0.
  5. Move the text box back to its correct position if it moves after applying the Curve effect.

If you used the "Neon" effect

  1. Add text and apply the hyperlink.
  2. Select Effects from the toolbar and select Neon.
  3. Duplicate the text box by selecting on
Duplicate from the floating toolbar above or below it.
  4. While the duplicated text box is selected, select Effects from the editor toolbar and select None to remove the effect.
  5. Add the hyperlink to the duplicated text.
  6. Set the duplicated text’s transparency to 1.
  7. Move the duplicated text on top of the text with the Neon effect.
