Download or save designs to your device


You can download or save a copy of your design to your computer or mobile device. You can also download multiple designs in bulk.

Download your design

  1. From the top menu, click
    Share.
  2. Select
    Download.
  3. On the dropdown, choose a file type for your download. Learn more about the supported download file types.
  4. If your design has multiple pages, select between All pages, This page, and Custom. When you select Custom, you can select the thumbnails of the pages you want to download. You can also collapse or expand Advanced settings to close the custom page selection.
  5. Select Download.
  6. If your design has premium elements, Select the
    More icon (beside Try Canva for Pro/Teams for free) and then on Purchase Pro Content Licence. Select your preferred payment method and select Pay and Download to finish.

You can find your design in your device’s assigned download folder.

More download options are available to Canva Pro, Canva Teams, Canva Business, Canva Education, and Canva for Nonprofits users, including downloading a CMYK PDF.

You can find your purchased elements in your Purchased folder. All purchases grant you a Pro Content License.

Download multiple designs in bulk

Downloading multiple designs in bulk is currently available on desktop for Canva Pro, Canva Teams, Canva Business, Canva Education, and Canva for Nonprofits users.

  1. From Home or Projects, select multiple files and folders.
  2. From the selection menu, select
    .
  3. On the download menu, choose a file type for your download.
  4. Select Download.
  5. Your designs will start downloading. This may take some time, depending on the number of designs and the file type selected.
  6. When finished, Canva will complete all downloads and show any errors, if there are any.

Downloading multiple designs in bulk limitations

  • Bulk download supports PDF, JPG, PNG, MP4, and GIF.
  • Exports each design or page separately, depending on the file type.
  • You can’t exclude pages from multi-page designs.
  • Transparency and file limits apply per page for JPG and PNG.
  • Only top-level folders are supported, and subfolders aren’t included.
  • You can download up to five folders at a time.
  • You can download up to 200 designs at once, or up to 25 designs when exporting as MP4 or GIF.
  • Only one file type is supported per download, and unsupported pages won’t be included.
  • The download will be a single ZIP file with all designs and folders flattened.

Why am I asked to pay before downloading a design?

If you’re asked to pay before downloading a design, your design might have premium or Pro elements. If you’re using Canva for free, you can either purchase a Pro Content license, upgrade to a paid plan, or download a watermarked draft. If you’re on Pro, Teams, Business, Education, or Nonprofits, you won’t be asked to pay since element licenses are already included in your plan.

Can I download only specific pages or parts of my design?

Yes, you can download specific pages or parts of your design. If you want to download specific pages only, make sure to select them from the download prompt. If you want to download specific parts of your design, learn more about downloading a selection in your design.

Are there limitations on downloads based on my Canva plan?

Some download options are limited only to Pro, Teams, Business, Education, or Nonprofit plans. These download options include bulk downloading, downloading a compressed file, downloading with a transparent background, downloading your design as an SVG, and many others.

Otherwise, you can download your design as many times as needed.

Can I save my download settings?

Yes, you can save your preferred download settings, such as file type and supported options. They automatically apply to new designs of the same type on your current device.
