Get quick help with Help Assistant
Chat with Help Assistant for quick help with Canva features, editing questions, billing issues, and more. It can also guide you to the right support if you need more help.
You can access Help Assistant on the homepage, editor, and settings page.
- By default, only Canva-related help is available to student accounts. Canva Education admins and owners can enable design help for students.
- Manage Help Assistant permissions, selecting between:
- Canva-related and design help, or
- Canva-help only.

- Open Help Assistant:
- From your homepage or Settings, select Help Assistant.
- In the editor, select Help Assistant.
- Enter your question or prompt in the text box. You can also send a voice message using the Chat using voice button.
- Help Assistant will generate an answer. Note: It’s always best to double-check the responses for accuracy.
- To close Help Assistant, select the Close button.
Use Help Assistant to open the Apps tab
If your question or the answer involves using an app to import media, add a QR code, or upscale an image, Help Assistant may suggest an App’s quick action. Tap it to open the Apps tab in the editor’s Object Panel. This option shows up even if you haven’t installed any apps yet.
