Upload and use Brand Kit videos
Keep your team's video assets organised and on-brand by adding them to your Brand Kit. Once uploaded, team members can easily find and use approved videos directly from the Brand Kit in the editor.
This feature is only available for Canva Pro, Canva Business, Canva Enterprise, Canva Education, or Canva for Nonprofits accounts.
To upload videos to a Brand Kit, you must be an Owner, Admin, or Brand Designer. Team members can browse and use Brand Kit videos, but cannot upload or manage them.
Supported video formats
You can upload videos in the following formats:
Format and File extension
- MP4 (.mp4)
- MOV (.mov)
- WEBM (.webm)
- MPEG (.mpeg)
- MKV (.mkv)
- GIF (.gif)
Limitations
- Only Brand Admins and Brand Designers can manage uploaded brand videos.
- Canva supports 4K exports, but it downscales uploaded 4K videos to 1080p. Even if you export in 4K, the stored version remains 1080p, which may affect the final output.
Upload videos to your Brand Kit
- From the homepage, select Brand from the side panel.
- Select the Brand Kit you want to add videos to. If you have multiple Brand Kits, choose the relevant one from the dropdown.
- Select the Videos section.
- Select Upload a video or drag and drop your video file into the upload area.
- Wait for the upload to complete. Larger files may take longer to process.
Your video will appear in the Videos section of your Brand Kit once the upload is finished.
Use brand videos in a design
- Open an existing design or create a new one.
- In the editor, select Brand from the side panel.
- Select your Brand Kit.
- Navigate to the Videos section.
- Select the video you want to use, or drag it onto the canvas.
The video will be added to your design, where you can resize, reposition, and trim it as needed.
Feature availability
- Available on Canva Pro, Canva Business, Canva Enterprise, Canva Education, or Canva for Nonprofits.
- Not available on Free plans.
- Available on Desktop Web, Desktop App, Mobile Web, and Mobile App.
- Available in China (.cn).
