Save and sync Canva Code data with Sheets
Save and access data from your Canva Code creations anytime, anywhere. When you build things like forms, to-do lists, or calculators with Canva Code, inputs and responses automatically save to a connected Canva Sheet. The data stays saved, no matter where or how it's opened.
Connect Canva Code to Sheets
- Go to Canva AI, then select Code for me.
- Enter your prompt (e.g. “Create a to-do list”).
- Confirm your creation connects to a Sheet automatically.
- Select the Data tab to view it.
Note: Data flows one way from your creation to the Sheet. Edits in the Sheet don’t sync back.
Connect a Sheet from Canva Code in the editor
When you add a Canva Code to a design, it stays connected to a Sheet, but collects responses separately from the version in your homepage thread.
- Add a Canva Code to your design.
- Select the Canva Code in your design.
- From the toolbar, select Data.
- Select the Sheet name to open it in a new tab.
- It will show any responses already collected in this design.
Note: Even if it’s the same Canva Code, responses collected in a design are stored separately from those in your homepage thread.
View and refresh your data
- Open your Canva Code creation.
- Go to the Data tab, then select the sheet you want to view.
- From the top menu, select Data, then select Refresh to update the data.
Tip: If you don’t see data, add a test entry in your creation, then Refresh the Sheet.
Collect and review responses
- Open Data to confirm your Sheet is connected.
- Select Publish, then share the published link.
- View responses in your connected Sheet.
- Select Refresh to see new responses.

- Each Version stores data separately.
Reminder: You’re responsible for privacy, consent, and access settings for any data you collect.
