Change templates

Easily change the template you’re using – even after making changes to your design.

1. Select the page you want edit. If you have multiple pages, scroll to the page you want to edit, and select anywhere inside the page to select it.
2. Go to
   Templates.
3. If you can’t see the search bar (because a template is already open in the side panel), select the Back arrow in the Templates panel to return to Search.
4. Enter a prompt in the search bar. Press Enter.
   1. Under Search, you can browse existing templates in Canva.
   2. To let Canva AI create a new template based on your prompt, select Generate.
5. Select a page from the template to add it to your design, or select Apply all pages to use all pages.

Your edits will be kept if you’re using templates under these categories:

• Business Cards
• Facebook Ads
• Facebook Covers
• Facebook Posts
• Facebook Stories
• Instagram Posts
• Instagram Stories
• Logos
• Posters
• Snapchat Geofilters
• Social Graphic
• Twitter Posts
• YouTube Thumbnails
• YouTube Channel Art
• WhatsApp Stories

If not, you’ll be asked how to proceed. Choosing Replace current page will undo all edits on the page, while Add as new page will add a new page with the selected template.

If you want to undo the template change, click or tap

Undo on the editor toolbar.
