Change element colours

Change the colour of text, backgrounds, and elements like borders, frames, grids, charts, and gradients.

If no colour tiles appear on the toolbar, it means that you can’t change the element’s colours.

Change element colour

  1. Click the element you want to edit.
  2. Click the colour tile of the colour that you want to change. The Colour panel will open on the side.
  3. Click a colour from the options shown in the colour panel. Hover over the colour to see its display name.
  4. To choose a different colour, click
Add a new colour (the rainbow colour tile) from the colour panel.
  5. To pick a colour from your design, click the
Pick a colour (eyedropper) button and hover your mouse over the colour you want to use.
  6. To replace a colour across the current page or the entire pages, select Current page or All pages.

💡 Tip: Document colours are now sorted by hue, saturation, and lightness, and will reflect the colours used by your current selection. You can also switch to list view in the colour panel to browse colours with their names displayed.

The improved Color Panel now shows more default colors along with their display names when hovered over, except for the colors in Brand Kits, which can be named and added when creating a palette.

To easily copy and apply the same colours between charts, select the

paint roller icon on the editor toolbar. More details on Copy style and format.
