Group and hide data in Canva Sheets
You can organize your data in Canva Sheets by grouping rows and hiding columns. Unlike filters, everyone working in the sheet sees these changes. This helps you focus on specific information and keep your spreadsheet tidy.
Group rows
- Select one or more rows.
- Right-click and select Group rows.
- Check that a group header appears for the grouped rows.
- Select the expand or collapse icon to toggle visibility.
Move grouped rows
Drag from the group header to move grouped rows to a new location.
Remove grouping
- Select the rows in the group.
- Right-click and select Remove grouping.
Hide columns
- Select one or more columns.
- Right-click and select Hide columns.
- Check that an indicator appears between the visible columns.
- Select the indicator to unhide.
Limitations
- Hiding columns and grouping rows affect everyone in the sheet. Everyone sees the same view.
- Sorting also affects everyone. Sort changes apply instantly.
