Leonardo.Ai entitlement updates in Canva Business
If you start a new Canva Business subscription on or after 31 August 2026, access to Leonardo.Ai Essential plan will not be included. The updates below only apply to existing Canva Business customers.
Key updates for existing Canva Business subscribers
If you're an existing Canva Business subscriber who signed up before 31 August 2026, your Leonardo.Ai Essential access will end on 30 September 2026. Your token allocation will then move from 8,500 tokens a month to 150 tokens a day — the same as Leonardo.Ai's Free plan. Leonardo.Ai's Essential plan will remain available as a separate subscription. You can find out more on Leonardo.Ai's pricing page.
Why we're making this change
Unfortunately, some people have used this access fraudulently. This update is part of our ongoing work to prevent misuse of AI services and keep our platform secure.
What does this mean for you
You don't need to do anything, and any designs or images you've already created stay unaffected.

How can I top up Leonardo.Ai tokens?
To top up, you can purchase extra tokens or upgrade to a higher tier (Essential, Premium, Ultimate) directly through the Leonardo.Ai platform. I’ve recently upgraded to Canva Business. What are my options now?
You can switch plans or cancel your Canva Business subscription any time from your account settings. If you choose to cancel, you’re eligible for a refund on the remaining, unused portion of your subscription. Please get in touch with our support team to arrange this.
I'm currently on a Canva Free plan. If I upgrade to Canva Business on September 1st, will I still have access to the Leonardo Essential plan?
