Use Memory Library to personalise Canva AI


Get more personalised results from Canva AI by teaching it your style, tone, and preferences. Memory Library helps Canva AI learn from your designs and interactions over time.

Understand how Memory Library works

Memory Library builds your profile in two ways.

  • From your designs and documents: Canva AI analyses your most relevant, recent work to understand your style and content.
  • From your Canva AI conversations: Each time you use Canva AI, it learns from your prompts and updates your memory over time. As you continue using Canva AI, your results become more accurate and tailored to you.

What is an About Me page

Your About Me page is a Canva Doc created by Memory Library. It summarises your preferences, style, and working habits. You can review and edit it anytime.

Memory Library is the system that learns from you. Your About Me page is the document it creates and updates.

Access Memory

To open your Memory Library, go to

Canva AI from
Home, then click Memory in the sidebar.

Your Memory Library contains:

  • The individual memories Canva AI has collected from your conversations.
  • Your About Me page (once generated), which summarises your style and preferences.

If you haven't created an About Me yet, you'll see a Create About Me option on the Memory Library page.

If you dismissed the onboarding card, open Canva AI, then follow the steps above to access Memory.

Create your About Me page

  1. From your Memory Library, select Create About Me.
  2. Wait while your About Me page is generated.
  3. Review and edit the doc.

Memory Library can make mistakes, so check that the details reflect your actual style and preferences.

Manage your Memory Library

Edit your About Me

  1. Select About Me to open your About Me page.
  2. Make changes in the document.

Delete your About Me

From the editor

  1. Go to File, then select Organise.
  2. Select
    Move to trash.

From the homepage

  1. Go to
    Home.
  2. Find your About Me page in Recents or Projects.
  3. Select
    More options on the design, then select
    Move to trash.

To recreate your About Me page, follow the steps in Create your About Me page.

Turn off Memory Library

  1. Go to
    Settings.
  2. Select AI personalization.
  3. Turn off Save and reference memories.

When turned off, Canva AI won’t use your memory profile to personalize results.

Improve how Canva AI personalises your results

To get better results faster:

  • Edit your About Me page to refine your preferences.
  • Continue using Canva AI regularly.

Understand current limitations

Memory Library improves over time, but there are some current limitations:

  • Early memory may be limited if you don’t have many relevant designs yet.
  • Some formatting changes in your About Me page may be affected when memory update.

Fix common issues with Memory Library

I can't find Memory Library

What can cause this

  • Your plan doesn't include Memory Library (check your plan eligibility).
  • The feature isn't available in your region yet.
  • You dismissed the onboarding card.

What to do

If you have an eligible plan and don't see the feature, open

Canva AI, select
Dock, then select Memory.

Memory Library results don't feel personalized

What can cause this

Personalization improves over time as Canva AI learns from your designs and interactions.

What to do

Keep using Canva AI to get more personalized results over time. For better results, update your About Me page with details that matter to you.

To open your About Me page:

  1. Go to Canva AI from the homepage sidebar.
  2. Select Dock to open your chat history.
  3. Select Memory.
  4. Select About Me.
  5. Make changes in your About Me doc.

You can also find your About Me page in Recents or Projects.

The more you use Canva AI, the more personalized your results become.

Will Canva AI remember what I said in a previous chat?

No. Canva AI doesn't carry conversation details from one session to the next. Each new chat starts fresh, even when Memory Library is enabled.Memory Library stores your personal preferences, like your style, colours, and tone, through your About Me page. To make sure Canva AI uses a specific preference, add it directly to your About Me page.

What does my About Me page store?

Your About Me page stores only your personal preferences, like your style, colours, and tone. It doesn't store details from previous chats, specific design decisions, or ongoing project context.To update what Canva AI remembers about you, edit your About Me page directly.

When does my About Me page update?

Preferences can be created or updated in the background after each conversation. There may be a short delay before new preferences appear on your About Me page.To update your preferences right away, edit your About Me page directly.

Is my Memory Library profile private?

Yes. Your Memory Library profile is personal to you and isn't used to train Canva AI more broadly.
