Manage Microsoft Teams integration for schools
As a school admin, you can authorize the Microsoft Teams integration for your organization. This lets teachers assign Canva designs to their classes and allows students to submit work directly.
Until you’ve given permissions, teachers and students will see a warning message when they attempt to connect to Microsoft Teams.
Authorizing the Microsoft Teams integration
- From the Canva editor, select Assign.
- In the dropdown under Assign method, select Microsoft Teams, then Continue.
- You’ll see a screen requesting for Microsoft Teams permissions. Make sure that you check the Consent on behalf of your organisation when accepting permissions as an admin.
- Select Accept.
This will now enable teachers and students to publish and submit assignments to Microsoft Teams via Canva.
Removing the Microsoft Teams integration
- From Azure Portal, search for Enterprise applications here.
- Select the Canva Assignments (prod) application.
- Select Properties, then Delete.
This will now prevent teachers and students from publishing and submitting assignments to Microsoft Teams via Canva.
