Create and play with Quiz Yourself
Enter a topic in Quiz Yourself to create an interactive quiz game. Learn where Quiz Yourself is available, which game formats it offers, and which game formats have language limitations.
Quiz Yourself lets students create an interactive quiz game about a topic they want to review. Quiz Yourself is available from the Learn Grid and the student Classroom homepage.
Create a quiz game
- From the homepage, select Templates.
- Select Education.
- Under Quiz yourself, select a game type.
- Select or enter the topic you want to review. For better results, be specific about what you want to review. For better results, use a specific topic that clearly describes what you want to review. For example, instead of “Sun” or “Solar system,” try “Order of planets in the Solar System by distance from the Sun.”
- Select the Set the level dropdown, then select a grade level.
- Select Generate.
- Wait for the game to be generated.
- Select Open.
- Play the game.
Each time you select Generate, Quiz Yourself creates one game. Generated games may include formats such as Snowman Speller, Emoji Maths, Safe Breaker, Spelling Bee, Secret Messages, and Meteor Defence.
Saved games and progress
Quiz Yourself does not save games or your progress.
Canva Code availability
Turning Canva Code on or off does not directly control access to Quiz Yourself. If you would like to turn off access to Quiz yourself please reach out to support.
Quiz game availability by language
Crossword and word search games are not available in these languages:
- Hindi
- Japanese
- Korean
- Punjabi
- Thai
- Urdu
Other quiz game formats remain available in these languages. Some game previews may appear in English if Quiz Yourself does not offer a preview in your language.
Manage access to Quiz Yourself
Quiz Yourself is available by default for student accounts in supported student experiences. Administrators cannot turn off Quiz Yourself from account settings.
To request that Canva disable Quiz Yourself for a school or organisation, an administrator can contact Canva Support.
Frequently asked questions
Can I save a Quiz Yourself game?
No. You cannot save or name a Quiz Yourself game, and your progress isn’t saved if you refresh the page. However, you can reopen and replay the game later.
Why is Quiz Yourself not available?
Quiz Yourself is only available to student accounts and users in the student journey. To use Quiz Yourself:
- You must be in a supported student experience (such as Learn Grid) in your market, and
- Your organisation must not have asked Canva to disable Quiz Yourself.
