Restrict design sharing for students (School Teams)

As a school team admin, you can control who can share designs outside your school team (for example, outside a class). This helps protect student work while supporting collaboration.

Control which roles can share designs outside your School team by link or email. By default, only admins and teachers can share designs outside the School team.

When restricted sharing is enabled:

Students can:

• Share designs with classmates in their class

Admins and teachers can:

• Share restricted student’s designs externally

Students can’t:

• Create public view links
• Create websites
• Share designs via email to people outside the school team
• Copy designs to another team
• Use Q&A in presentations

Additional restrictions:

• Students outside the class cannot request access to a restricted student's design.
• Students with restricted sharing can see their design is shared outside the School team, but cannot view any public view links created.

Share designs through your learning management system (LMS) while keeping student sharing restricted. Teachers and students must be in the same School team for LMS sharing to work. For more information, see Connecting Canva to LMS.

As a School team admin, control whether team members can temporarily share designs with Canva Support when requesting help.

1. On the side panel, select your profile icon.
2. Select
   Settings.
3. Select Data and privacy.
4. Turn the switch On or Off for Allow team members to temporarily share affected designs with Canva Support.

Update your team settings to allow other teachers at your school to find and request to join your team. See School teams on Canva.

No. Your designs, folders, shared content, and team membership remain the same.

You can link one account for each service (such as Google or Microsoft). If you previously had multiple accounts linked, you can continue using them. However, if you remove one, you might not be able to add another account.
