Setting up payments for Canva Creators


We have consolidated our payout methods. All Canva Creator royalty payouts are now handled by Trolley.

Creators are required to re-register their payout method.

Please note that the functionality to register with Trolley will be available on your creator account from November 30, 2023.

Setting up your payout information

Before providing your payout information, you’ll need to provide your profile information.

Canva collects your personal information to provide you with your earnings and to comply with local laws. Our Privacy Policy sets out how we process your information and privacy rights.

  1. Log in to your Canva account.
  2. On the homepage, select your account profile to open the menu, then go to
    Settings.
  3. From the side panel, select
    Payments.
  4. Go to the Details tab.
  5. If you had previously registered your profile information with us:
    • Select Register Now.
    • If you want us to pre-fill your existing profile information, select Pre-fill details. We will pre-fill your existing profile details. If these look correct to you, select Save.
    • If you don’t want us to pre-fill your existing profile information, select Don’t pre-fill details. Enter your first name, last name, email, date of birth, and address, and select Save.
  6. If you previously did not register your profile information with us:
    • Select Add payout method.
    • Enter your first name, last name, email, date of birth, and address, and click Save.
  7. Select a payout method (Bank transfer or PayPal). If you want to receive your payout in a virtual account like Payoneer or Wise, select Bank Transfer and follow the steps mentioned in How to receive payouts in Payoneer section below.
    • If you want to receive your payouts in a bank account, select the Bank Account Country and enter the information that follows. Please note: Bank transfers will be made in the currency of the country you have selected as the Bank Account Country. The account details you must provide will also vary depending on the Bank Account Country you selected.
    • If you want to receive your payouts in your PayPal account, enter and confirm the email address of your PayPal account.
  8. Enter your account details and select Save.

How to receive payouts in Payoneer

Creators can receive payouts in their Payoneer account by providing their Payoneer receiving account information.

It's possible to receive your payouts in USD in your Payoneer virtual receiving account, but the process of registering your Payoneer account has changed. Previously, we needed your Payoneer account ID – now, we need your account routing information.

Finding your Payoneer account routing information

  1. Log in to your Payoneer account.
  2. Navigate to Get Paid, then Receiving Accounts.
  3. Choose your USA account under Approved accounts.
  4. Under Account details, you'll find your routing number (ABA) and account number.

Set up your payout method with Canva once you have the routing information

  1. Enter and save your general information.
  2. Select Bank transfer as your payout method.
  3. Select United States of America as your Bank Account Country.
  4. Enter the routing number (ABA), account number, and account holder's name from your Payoneer account.
  5. Click Save.

Summary of important information

  • Creators can get paid in their bank accounts (including Payoneer) or PayPal.
  • Bank account payouts will be offered in the currency of the country selected as the Bank Account Country.
  • PayPal payouts will be offered in USD.
  • USD wires can be enabled case-to-case, but this option will not be available by default.
  • SWIFT wire transfers in local currencies will be used in countries where our payout partner does not have local bank networks.

When are royalties paid?

We aim to send payments on the 15th of each month (or earlier) after your expected payment amount reaches the payout threshold of USD $10 or USD $25 (if you’ve opted for payout via wire transfers).

Make sure you’re logged in to your Canva Creator account.

When you click your account icon from the top corner of the homepage, you’ll find a

next to the team you’re on. If it’s not the right one, click on the correct team under Switch team.

FAQs

What are my payout options?

You can select from the following payout options: Bank Account (including Payoneer and Wise), and PayPal.

Please note that bank transfers will be made in the currency of the country you have selected as Bank Account Country. PayPal transfers will only be made in USD.

How do I ensure I receive my next payout?

Set up your general information and update your preferred payout method. Also, please ensure you have submitted the applicable W-8 or W-9 form. We can only process your payouts when we receive your payout information and your W-8 or W-9 form.

What is the minimum payout threshold?

The payment threshold is the minimum balance your earnings need to reach (after withholding tax) for us to process your payment. This is set to USD 25 for wire transfers and USD 10 for all other payout methods – it cannot be changed. Learn more about Canva Creators payout threshold.

Can I receive my payout through Payoneer?

Yes, you can. If you want to continue using Payoneer, you must provide the routing number (ABA) and account number of your Payoneer receiving account. Please refer to How to receive payouts in Payoneer above.

Can I receive my payout as a Wire Transfer?

Wire transfers in USD can be set up on a case-to-case basis. SWIFT wire transfers in local currencies will be used in countries where our payout provider does not have local bank networks.

Can I be paid USD into my local bank account?

Bank transfers will be made in the currency of the country you have selected as Bank Account Country.

I don’t have a routing number from my bank. What should I put there?

Every local US bank has a routing number. Please contact your bank for this information if you don't have a routing number.

For all international payments, all banks use the Swift/BIC number.
