Switch from Canva Pro or Canva Teams to Canva Business
You can switch your Canva Pro or Canva Teams subscription to Canva Business at any time.
What happens to your designs when you switch plans
Designs you’ve created are saved in your account; they are never deleted. However, designs created inside a team workspace stay in that team workspace.
If you remove team members when switching plans, they’ll lose access to designs created in that team. Download or share any designs you need before removing members or changing plans.

You'll also be prompted to upgrade to Canva Business when you add your first team member, or try Canva Business exclusive features such as selecting Ad Insights, Leonardo.Ai, or Flourish.
What to expect after switching plans
- Your new plan takes effect immediately.
- You’ll be billed at the Canva Business rate from your next billing date.
- All Canva Pro features are included in Canva Business, plus additional brand management and AI tools.
If you switch from Pro to Business and then cancel Business, your original Pro plan is not automatically reinstated. Cancelling Business ends your subscription entirely.
If you want to return to Pro, you’ll need to resubscribe to Canva Pro separately at the current rate shown on our pricing page.
Canva Teams - important changes
If you’re an existing Canva Teams subscriber and you cancel your plan, you will not be able to resubscribe to Canva Teams, as it is no longer available for new sign-ups or upgrades. You can choose Canva Pro (for solo use) or Canva Business (for teams) instead.
If you’re already on Canva Teams and choose to stay, you’ll:
- Keep your current pricing, including when you add new members.
- Continue to receive new premium features, the same ones added to Canva Pro.
- Not get features exclusive to Canva Business.
AI features access changes when you switch plans
Canva Pro and Canva Business include different levels of AI access. If you downgrade from Business to Pro, you may notice that some AI tools (such as higher-usage Magic Write or Magic Media limits) are reduced.
