Use Canva in Microsoft Teams

Use the Canva app for Microsoft Teams to receive key Canva notifications straight to Teams and to preview Canva designs in Teams.

1. From your Teams workspace side menu, click Apps to access the Teams store.
2. In the Teams store, search for Canva. Click on the Canva app in the search results.
3. Click Add on the description screen. Note that if your organisation has restricted apps, you might need permission from your Teams administrator to add the app.
4. On the Canva bot welcome message, click Sign in to connect your Canva and Teams accounts.
5. Allow the app access to finish.

The app is available to all Canva users. Each user will need to individually add the Canva app on Teams and sign in to their Canva account.

After linking your accounts, you’ll automatically be notified on Teams of the following:

• When a design or folder is shared with you
• When a design or folder is shared with a team that you’re part of
• When you’re mentioned in a comment
• When someone replies to your comment
• When you’re assigned a task
• When your assigned task is resolved
• When there are new comments on designs you own
• When someone requests access to your design
• Canva Teams and Canva Education users: When someone asks for design approval
• Canva Teams and Canva Education users: When your design approval request is approved or rejected

You can preview designs from Teams or open Canva directly from these notifications to view shared designs, respond to comments, approve designs or grant access requests - no need to check your email.
