Purchase and get licences for Pro audio tracks

You can use premium audio tracks in Canva for videos and presentations. When you download a design that includes premium audio, Canva automatically creates a licence (permission to use the track) for that design.

This licence allows you to use the audio in business projects, including videos uploaded to YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

To help prevent copyright claims, connect your social account before downloading your design.

Purchase premium audio

Premium audio tracks are marked with a crown icon in the Audio tab. You can purchase them individually or access them with an eligible subscription:

  • Canva Pro
  • Canva Teams
  • Canva Business
  • Canva for Nonprofits
  • Canva Enterprise
  • Canva for Education

Purchase a single track

Access with a subscription

If you have an eligible subscription, you can use premium audio tracks at no extra cost. A licence is created when you download your design.

Connect your social accounts (before you download)

If you're planning to upload your design to YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram, connect your social account to Canva before downloading. This helps the platform see your audio license. It can also prevent automatic copyright claims.

  1. Open your design in the editor.
  2. Select Share, then choose
    See all.
  3. Under Social, select the platform you want to upload to.
  4. Select Open, then choose Connect.
  5. Log in to the same account you’ll use to upload your video.
  6. Finish downloading your design.

If you need support confirming your permission to use a Pro audio track (for example, for a YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram copyright claim), please contact the Canva Support team for help and include:

  • Design ID/Link to your Design
  • Audio track name
  • Details of the claim or request (e.g., the platform and claim/reference ID, or a copy/screenshot of the notification you received, if available).

Use the same audio in multiple videos

Each Canva design generates one audio license. If you want to use the same audio track in multiple videos, you'll need a separate license for each video.

  1. Open the original design.
  2. Select File then Make a copy.
  3. Use the copied design for the new video.
  4. Download the copy (with your social account connected).

This creates a new licence for the copied design.

If you receive a copyright claim on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram, you can dispute it using your Canva licence. Follow the steps in Clear Content ID claims for premium audio to resolve claims through the platform’s copyright detection system.

Can’t access your licence details? Contact the Canva Support team and include your design ID, audio track name, and claim details.
