Website settings and page customisation

You can customise your website's settings to make it uniquely yours. Change your URL, add a favicon, set up privacy options, and create page-specific information for better search results.

Access website settings

  1. During publishing: Select Publish Website, then select Settings.
  2. For published websites: Edit your website design, select Publish, then Settings.
  3. From Web Domains: Go to Settings, then go to the Web domains tab. Select View next to your website.

Configure site-wide settings

Go to the Site tab. These settings apply to your entire website.

Add website favicon

Add a favicon to your website

  1. From the Site tab, select the
    favicon.
  2. Select
(plus icon) to upload an image.
  3. Choose a square image (we recommend 280x280 pixels).
  4. Select Done.

Note: We support JPG and PNG files up to 25MB.

Add website title

Enter a title next to the favicon. Your website title appears in browser tabs and search engine results.

Update privacy and visibility settings

Control who can see your website:

  • Search engine visibility: Turn off to hide your site from Google and other search engines
  • Password protection: Require visitors to enter a password
  • Navigation menu: Toggle on to add a navigation menu to your website. When this is enabled, the menu appears directly on your design pages in the editor, where you can customise its appearance before you publish.
  • Resize on mobile: Automatically adjust your design for mobile screens
  • Social media link preview: Set the image and text that appear when your site is shared

Customise individual website pages

You can customise each page with its own URL and SEO settings. This helps you:

  • Improve search rankings with page-specific titles and descriptions
  • Create better social sharing links
  • Organise your content with logical URLs

How to edit domain names

  1. Select Settings in the publish panel.
  2. Go to the Pages tab.
  3. Select each page you want to customise.
  4. For each page, set up:
    • Menu label: The first input field controls how the page appears in your website's menu navigation.
    • Page title: Enter a title for each page that appears in browser tabs and search results. This is separate from the menu label and helps improve your website's search engine optimisation (SEO).
    • Custom URL path: Enter a URL path like "about-us" or "contact"
    • Page description: Summary for search engines (150-160 characters recommended)

Your full URL will look like yoursite.com/your-path.

Make each page unique. Don't use the same titles or descriptions for multiple pages.

Example page setup:

Homepage

  • Menu Label: “John's Design Studio”
  • URL path: [leave blank for homepage]
  • Page title: "John's Design Studio - Creative Services & Portfolio"
  • Description: "Professional graphic design services including branding, web design, and marketing materials. View our portfolio and get a quote today."

About page

  • Menu Label: About
  • URL path: about
  • Page title: "About John's Design Studio - Our Story & Team"
  • Description: "Learn about our design philosophy, meet our creative team, and discover why clients choose our studio for their branding needs."
