Change your domain’s nameservers
Canva lets you manage your website domain settings. You can edit your DNS records, change your nameservers, or transfer your domain to another domain host or registrar.
This is available to all users who purchased a domain through Canva. For teams, only administrators and owners can access these settings.
What to expect
When you change the nameservers, your Canva website will no longer work, and you’ll be responsible for configuring your domain’s DNS settings. We’ll still manage your domain subscription, and you can always reconnect to Canva if you’d like.
Step 1: Review your Canva domain info
- On the homepage, select your account profile to open the menu, then choose Settings.
- Go to Web domains. Here, you’ll see domains managed by Canva and third parties, their status, and expiry.
- Next to the domain name, select.
- Under Advanced settings, select Manage. From here, you can choose between changing your Canva domain nameservers, editing your DNS records, or unlocking the Canva domain to transfer to another domain host.
Step 2: Change your domain nameservers
These options are only available after your domain set up is complete. See Step 2: Verifying your domain on our article Purchasing domains to publish websites.
Change your domain nameservers
- To point your domain to another website provider, select Change nameservers.
- Select Continue. This will disconnect your website domain from Canva.
- Enter the new nameservers. To add more, select Add a nameserver, then select Save. You need to add at least 2 nameservers. Similar to DNS settings, your new nameservers might take some time to come into effect.
- To redirect your domain back, select Reconnect.
