Edit element timing in your designs

Adjust when you want text and other elements to appear or disappear in your design.

In video designs, element timing works a bit differently. The timeline is always visible, and all timing controls are built directly into it.

To learn more about using the timeline, see Create and edit videos.

In presentation designs, on-click animations can also be used to dictate when elements appear or disappear. Visit our Apply, change, or remove animations article to learn more.

Element timing vs. slide duration

Element timing controls when individual elements appear or disappear on a page. Slide duration controls how long the entire page displays.

If you want to adjust slide duration, see Set slide duration in your presentation.
