You can turn your data into a fully designed AI presentation with charts and insights. Upload a CSV file, import from Canva Sheets, or connect a source. The AI then creates a complete presentation with a clear story from summary to key points. This saves time when you need to present data without building slides from the beginning.
Generate presentations from data using Canva AI 1.0
Create a presentation that turns your data into charts and insights automatically.
The AI generates a presentation with:
- Charts that show your data.
- Headlines that explain key points.
- A clear story from summary to takeaways.
You can edit every part of the generated presentation.
- Go to the Canva Homepage.
- Select Canva AI from the menu.
- Select your data input method:
- Upload a CSV file from your device.
- Import from Canva Sheets in your account.
- Connect a source from another app.
- Enter a prompt describing what you want to present.
- Wait for the AI to generate your presentation.
- Review and edit the presentation as needed.
The AI chooses the best suitable chart
Limitations
- Entering a new prompt won't change charts that already exist. To update a chart, edit it manually in the editor.
- Chart types not listed aren't supported for AI generation.
- Languages not listed aren't supported for this feature.
- You can apply your Brand Template design to generated presentations.

The AI automatically selects the most appropriate chart type based on your data.

You can generate AI presentations in 20 languages:
English, French, German, Dutch, Danish, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Indonesian, Polish, Korean, Japanese, Turkish, Tagalog, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Thai, and Vietnamese.
Common questions
Edit the generated presentation
Yes, you can edit every part of the generated presentation. Refine content, adjust charts, and apply your brand style. However, entering a new prompt won't edit charts that already exist. To change a chart, edit it manually.
