Record videos in the editor
Talking Presentations (this includes Record yourself and Present and record) is temporarily unavailable in India. Note that VPN circumvention of geographic-based limits is not permitted under the Terms of Use.
Apart from stock videos from our library and your own uploads, you can now record videos from inside the Canva editor.
This feature won’t be available when using print design templates like posters, invitations, or brochures.
If you’re designing on a partner website via the Canva Button, videos won’t be available.
Record videos in the editor
For now, this is only available on Google Chrome and Safari browsers.
- Open the Uploads tab.
- Select Record yourself, then choose Record a talking head.
- Set up your camera and microphone on the pop-up that’ll appear. Make sure to allow your browser to access your device's camera and microphone when asked.
- Set up how you want to record.
- Camera if you want to record only a video of yourself.
- Camera & Screen to record a video of yourself and your whole presentation.
- Screen if you only want to record a voiceover of your presentation.
- Select Record.
- Select End recording once done. You can also Pause or Restart your recording as needed.
- Select Save and exit to save your video and to add it to the current page of your design. You can also select Save and record another or Discard recording as needed.
You can also find your video recording from the Videos tab under Uploads.
