Request design access

When you click on a link to a Canva design that’s not shared to you, you won’t be able to see it. To fix this, you can request for access from its owner:

1. Log in to your Canva account, and click the design link to open it.
2. Click on the Request Access button to notify its owner of your request.
3. After the design owner grants you access, you’ll be notified via email. Open that email, and click on Open design. You should be able to access it now.

This usually happens when you’re part of multiple teams, and a design is shared to everyone in a team. To help you sort it out, here’s what you can do:

1. From the homepage, click your profile icon from the top corner of the page. For mobile users, tap
   Menu first to see your profile icon.
2. Under Switch team, you’ll see a
   check icon next to the team that you’re currently on. Make sure it’s the right one.
3. If you’re in a different team, click on the correct team’s name from the list to switch to it. Your page will refresh.
4. Try clicking on the design link again to access it.
