Revoke all access to your design even from shared folders

Use Revoke all access to remove everyone’s access to your design—whether they were directly invited or inherited it through shared folders.

When to revoke access

Use this option when:

  • Your design was moved into a shared folder you don’t control.
  • Unexpected people can view or edit your design.
  • You want to reset all sharing and start fresh.
  • You need to secure a design with sensitive content.

How to revoke all access

Remove all shared access to your Canva design, including inherited permissions from folders, to reset sharing permissions and secure your design.

  1. Open the design.
  2. Go to the
    Share menu.
  3. Besides the share design, select the
    Share settings.
  4. Select Remove access.
  5. Select whether to Cancel or Yes, remove access.

Note: Only editors and design owners can see and use this option.

What happens when you revoke access

After revoking access:

  • All users lose access, including inherited folder permissions.
  • Shared links stop working.
  • The design stays in your folders, but only you retain access.

After revoking access

You can:

  • Re-share the design with specific people.
  • Create new share links with updated settings.
  • Move the design to a folder you control.
  • Keep the design private.
