Copy content to your organisation account
You can copy content from another Canva account to your organisation account. This helps keep your work in one place.
Before you start
- Make sure you can access the email inbox for the account you’re copying from. We’ll send a verification code to this email address.
- Your organisation must also enable content copy. If you don’t see the option, contact your organisation admin.
Check which accounts you can copy from
The accounts you can copy from depend on your organisation’s settings.
- Some organisations allow you to copy from any account, including accounts that use personal email addresses like @gmail.com or @yahoo.com.
- Other organisations only allow you to copy from accounts that use verified domains, such as work email addresses.
If you’re not sure which setting applies, contact your organisation admin.
Copy content from another account to your Organisation
- Log in to your organisation account.
- Select your profile icon, then select Your account.
- Go to Your profile.
- Select Copy your content.

Fix common issues
If you’re not sure what’s causing the issue, check the one that most closely matches your situation.
I didn’t receive the verification code
- Check your spam or junk folder for an email from no-reply@canva.com.
- Wait a few minutes, then try again.
- Make sure the email address is correct.
- If you’re still not receiving your email, ask your admin to allow emails from no-reply@canva.com.
I don’t see the “Copy your content” option
Your organisation needs to turn this feature on.
Make sure you’re logged in to your organisation account, not a personal account. Contact your organisation admin if you still don't see it.
I can’t copy from a specific account
The account may not be eligible based on your organisation’s settings. If the account belongs to another organisation, their settings may prevent copying. Contact your organisation admin to confirm which accounts are allowed by your organisation’s settings.
I’m locked out of my old account due to SSO
This only applies if your organisation requires single sign-on (SSO).
If your organisation recently enforced SSO and you can’t log in to your previous account, you can still copy content from it.
You only need access to the email inbox to receive the verification code.
I can’t find my copied designs. If you’ve completed the copy process but can’t find your designs:
- Look for a folder named From [account name]. The account name matches the account you copied from.
- Go to the Projects tab.
- Use the search bar to look for specific design names.
- See Missing designs for more help.
- See Finding designs for more help.
FAQs
Does Canva verify that I own the account?
Yes. Canva sends a verification email with a one-time code to confirm you own the account you're copying from. The code is valid for 10 minutes. If it doesn’t work, close the window and start again by selecting Copy content.
If you don't receive the email, check your spam or junk folder. If your organisation manages your email, ask your admin to allow emails from no-reply@canva.com.
Can I copy from a personal email account like @gmail.com?
This depends on your organisation’s settings. If your organisation allows copying from all domains, you can copy from a personal Canva account you own. If copying is limited to verified domains, personal email addresses aren’t eligible.
Will I lose my designs in the original account?
No. Copying creates a duplicate. Your original designs remain in the source account.
